Prescription For Parched & Withered Hearts
The air which our body requires envelops us on every hand. The air of itself seeks to enter our bodies and, for this reason exerts pressure upon us. It is well known that it is more difficult to hold one’s breath than it is to breathe. We need but exercise our organs of respiration, and air will air will enter forthwith into our lungs and perform its life-giving function to the entire body.
The air which our souls needs also envelops all of us at all times and on all sides. God is round about us in Christ on every hand, with His many-sided and all sufficient grace. All we need to do is to open our hearts. Prayer is the breath of the soul, the organ by which we receive Christ into our parched and withered hearts.

A Symbol Of Victory...
On February 23, 1945, United States Marines raised the flag over Iwo Jima. It costs thousands of lives on both sides. I was talking to my mother on the phone about past memories (she is now in her 90's) and we got to talking about World War II. She was working at Marshalltown Manufacturing as a "Rosie the Riviter" after High School while men were drafted and leaving for war. She remembers when people saw this iconic photo and began putting it up in their homes and businesses that there was a sense that America and the Allies were going to win the war. By September the war was over and "the boys" came home!
Good Friday reminds us that something else was raised that has brought liberty to millions. Jesus Christ was impaled on a cross and lifted up in agony for our sins. When it seems like the world is falling apart we look to the cross to be reminded that the war has already been won! It didn't end at Golgotha. Three days later he walked out of the tomb! You may be in a battle and feel weary but through Jesus, we have won. He is Risen! Have a blessed Easter!

I remember taking a Transistor Radio in my younger days and tuning in to my favorite station. Moving the dial carefully would bring the broadcast in (sometimes with scratchy interference!) As a Christian we need to tune in to God's voice through prayer, reading the word and meditation. Some times, just like the radio, it takes moving the dial very carefully to hear the music. The busyness of life may give us interference and there are many choices on the dial but if we are persistent we can hear God's voice if we carefully find and listen to Him!

General Eva Burrows was "promoted to glory" yesterday, March 20th. The International Leader of The Salvation Army from 1986 to 1993 she was a tireless evangelist for Jesus Christ and a champion of the poor. I had the privilege of meeting her and hearing her speak about the Way, the Truth and the Life, Jesus Christ.
Earth's loss is Heaven's gain...well done...truly a heart for Christ!
"In spite of the way many people are turning away from God, not for other gods, but for no god; in spite of the mess we are making of this beautiful Planet Earth which God has given us, God still loves the world." - Eva Burrows

Pastor John Lowe - You Need A Heart Change!
A great message from my brother in Christ, Pastor John Lowe II of New Life Christian Church in Warsaw, Indiana, USA!
A great message from my brother in Christ, Pastor John Lowe II of New Life Christian Church in Warsaw, Indiana, USA!
Do you ever just yearn for peace? The World seems to be in short supply of it right now. But the Bible tells us to let the peace of Christ rule in our hearts. We are challenged to have Hearts for Christ, not for the World. That Jesus should rule in our lives instead of the worries and cares of this life.
If you are a Christian you are called into that body...be thankful!
